Mission
The United Civil Servants Association was created and exists to promote by the exchange of ideas and experiences, the solving of problems that plague our noble profession. By virtue of our efforts as a social organization, the Association can better serve and provide moral support to our members while establishing and maintaining sound relationships within the community that we protect everyday.
Board Members
Danny J. Farrell, President
A native of North Newark, Farrell is the Captain of Engine Co. 18 and a 15-year veteran of the Newark Fire Department. In addition, he is one of the founding members of the American Firefighters Association (AFA), the national umbrella organization of the United Civil Servants Association (UCSA). Farrell is also a co-organizer of the successful “Blaze on the Beach” benefit.
Al Carlucci, First Vice President
Born and raised in Newark, Carlucci joined the Newark Fire Department in 1996 and rose through the ranks before ascending into his current position as Battalion Chief. Since becoming one of Newark’s Bravest, he has been a member of the United Civil Servants. To this day, he still strongly believes in UCS’ motto: Equality for All, Special Interest for None.

Angela Anemoyanis, Secretary
Angela has been a dedicated member of United Civil Servants for more than six years. In that time, she has worked with several first responder organizations, including our own, Newark Fire Department. Angela previously served for six years, as the media agent for the Ironbound Ambulance Squad. In addition to her duties as media agent, she also organized fundraisers and events on behalf of IAS. Angela has also worked with the Newark Fire Officer’s Union in designing their website, which garnered them an International Media Award from the I.A.F.F. She has served on the City of Newark and City of Perth Amboy Fire Department’s Grant Writing Committees. SAFER grants were awarded to both the Perth Amboy and Newark Fire Departments . Angela was awarded a commendation from the mayor of Newark for her efforts in helping to ensure adequate staffing for the Newark Fire Department.
