2019 Comedy Night
It’s the time of year that we the Newark Fire Chapter of the United Civil Servants Association begin to prepare for our annual fundraiser “Comedy Night 2019.” This year’s event is SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 9, 2019 and the venue has changed. It will be at the MEDITERRANEAN MANOR on Chestnut and Jefferson Streets in Newark.
As always, doors open at 6:30 with food and drinks available from 7:00 till end (usually around 11:00pm)
$75 per person includes beer, wine, soda, sangria with full buffet dinner and dessert.
Comedy Central comedians Tommy Gooch (Emcee) with Jim Dailakis and Rob Falcone to perform!
Show starts at 9:00 pm. Tickets will be available next week but we’re taking full table reservations now!
We’d love nothing more than to pack the house AGAIN!

2015 Comedy Night Recap
I just wanted to take a second to recap on our 2015 Comedy Night.
It was a huge success, with roughly 220 people in attendance. That’s our largest crowd so far! Three awesome comics, good food and we were all surrounded by friends and family.
Comedy Night a Great Success

On Oct 11th 2014 we held our annual comedy night. The turnout was a little light, but the night was still a success. I would like to thank the three very funny comics that entertained us: Our MC Tommy Gooch, Dan Wilson, and John Pizzi. I don’t think we all stopped laughing the entire night.
Also, I would like to acknowledge Nelson Guzman of Ladder 5. You were for some reason their target that night and you were nothing short of a great sport. You helped to make the night even funnier. I would also like to thank Angela Anemoyanis who is always a central part of all of our fundraisers and is an extended member of our Fire Dept. family.
That night we gave a check to the winner of our Veterans Day Essay, Francesca Gibbons. A donation was also presented to Mark Zarro, who is jump-starting the wrestling and sports program at Christ the King Preparatory School here in Newark.
I urge all members, their families and friends to attend next year’s event.
This is the only fundraiser we hold that all proceeds benefit our organization.

Comedy Night is Coming
